Axel Peemoeller Design website’s design is very intriguing. The site construction allows the user to click and drag the elements of the website, rearranging them as you see fit. At first it seemed confusing, but the site’s interactive design is playful and it pulls you in to try and discover all the different layers of content.
Axel Peemoeller is an award winning designer, currently living in Hamburg, Germany. He has designed for “way-finding systems, books, brochures, magazines, annuals, icons, typefaces, corporate identities, photo shootings, environmental graphics, posters, retail stores…”
You must check out the way-finding systems he designed for this parking garage.. It will blow my mind.
I recently came across this site, FreeRice.com, which I thought it is very nice and creative. It works when you: you go to FreeRice.com and play their vocabulary game, for each question answered correctly 20 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Program. It is a win-win situation - you get to play the game, FreeRice get the traffics, advertisers get their exposure, and people get the free rice. If you like the idea, please help to spread out the word. For more details, please read their FAQ page.
The rice that is donated is distributed by the United Nations World Food Program (WFP). WFP is the world’s largest food assistance agency, working with over 3,000 other organizations in over 75 countries. In addition to providing food, WFP helps hungry people to become self-reliant so that they escape hunger for good. Wherever possible, WFP buys food locally to support local farmers and the local community. Please visit the WFP website to learn more at www.wfp.org.
I have been working a minimum 65-70 hours a week for the last 3 weeks resulting in a new job. Huge props to Mike Ace, thank you so much for the referral. I am now the in-house graphic designer for a fast growing restaurant franchise called the Earl of Sandwich. I am still doing my freelance on the side as well.
In the last 2 weeks, I have redesigned a PenneySaver ad (located to the right) and a WordPress theme, designed magnetic vehicle signs, 42″x42″ wall signs, direct mailers, e-marketing flyer, coupons and magazine ads just to name a few. I’m getting pretty exhausted. Luckily it is a holiday weekend and I get to go to the beach. Maybe, I will be able to take some photographs. Depends how many more projects I will be getting.
[daily dose of imagery]shot this during and after the Earth Hour on March 29th. Started from 6:49pm to 12:46am every 30 seconds. Frames were imported into After Effects and the highlights of each frame stays and is added to the next frame and so on; causing the trails for the planes, helicopters and stars to stay for the whole duration.
I thought I’d put up a couple of photos I took of my cat. I know, cliche, but just indulge me this time.
She has had perfect health for the last 11 years. I took her to the vet because I sensed she was not herself and I noticed she hadn’t had a bowel movement in the last 24 hours. . The Vet says she is dehydrated and that could be causing her not to have a bowel movement or she is feeling too bad to try.. Kiddie’s colon has is not impacted. Her heart and lungs sound good and her teeth are good too. However, he is concerned about her dehydration. He is doing a complete blood and urine work-up because he can’t tell anything from the physical exam and he gave her fluid under her skin to hydrate her.
She has even lost a half a pound since September. I should know the test results by tomorrow, but if she hasn’t had a bowel movement by then I will have to take her in to have an enema.(eeewww!!)
This little girl has been my constant compaion for the last 11 years. She has seen me through college, about 5 jobs and countless temps jobs, and 6 years of marriage. She knows when I am sick or when I am depressed. She is an amazing creature. Everyone who meets her knows she is kind and gentle and just wants to be love.
I hope you will enjoy her pictures.
Update: Kiddie is back to normal. She is again chasing me around the house, purring her head off, demanding food, and attacking her scratching post.
